How’s your Sunday going?

We’re sticking close to home today. Our electricity went off around midnight and who knows what time it came on.  We were asleep, so we’re not sure.  I think it was around 6 a.m. or so.  At any rate, the alarm clock never went off, and we’re just getting up and going.

I have a lot of writing to do, so I guess I’ll be at the computer all day.  I took yesterday off, choosing to rest in the Lord’s Sabbath, and didn’t write at all.  I even took a nap, can you believe it?!  It was really nice to be relaxed for the day.  I’m ready to start working, but wanted to stop in here, first.

I pray that the Lord would richly bless you and enable you to rest before the start of a new week.  Have a great day!

I had it in my mind what I would do today, but things didn’t happen the way I planned.

My oldest son woke up before his dad left for work, so dear ol’ hubby suggests that the child climb in bed with mom for a while so I can sleep in a little. (The first part was sweet, the last part wasn’t.) Before I know it, my son is snoring in my ear just as loud as his daddy! Then, to make matters worse, he stole the covers AND sprawled out across the bed, almost kicking me out!

Needless to say, after his big feet (another thing he gets from his dad) pushed mine out of the bed, I decided it was time to get up. I was fighting a losing battle and so I decided not to fight it anymore.

So, I headed to the living room to read some email before starting to work. Wouldn’t you know it? The stinker who had previously kicked me out of my own bed comes plodding into the living room behind me!! I was not pleased to see his sleepy eyes, but gave him a big hug anyhow.

Shortly after the big one got up, he heads to HIS room to wake up his little brother. It’s time for breakfast and he’s going to make sure we eat. Unfortunately, we didn’t go to the store and there’s very little milk for breakfast. My cereal did get wet, sort of.

After spending some time working I got a call from a friend and we chatted for awhile. I then finished up my work and got it to them almost at the time I said I would. I was 3 minutes late, but that was because of the internet connection which has been crazy lately.

We had to run out to get milk, bread, and cereal after hubby got home, and when we came back we saw my cat Comet sitting on the roof of the truck. She either got into a fight with another cat, an opossum, or she was bitten by a snake, we’re not sure which. Against hubby’s wishes, I brought the cat in the house. She’s not doing well, I fear. In fact, I don’t know if she’ll make it through the night. I just hope she’s not in too much pain.

I hate days like this. Nothing goes the way its supposed to. Curve balls come at me from all different directions, and I think I got hit by one or two. Maybe tomorrow will be better. I sure hope so!

May the Father bless you!

Thanks DPenguin!

I was complaining about the post about the kittens not working right. Well, my friend DPenguin came to the rescue and told me what HTML code to put into the post to get it to work right. Thanks!

I have to admit I’m lost when it comes to HTML, so I was glad to have the help. I guess I’d better start learning more about it, huh?

Anyhow, I still have some work to do, and I’d really like to get it done before 4:30 a.m., which is what time I got into bed this morning. We’ll see. The kids are making noise and I’m not holding out much hope for getting my work done any time soon. :(

Have a great Tuesday, or at least what’s left of it, and then have a great rest of the week!

Frustrated

Yep, that’s what I’d say I am.  I updated my blog and am using a newer version of WordPress.  Unfortunately, I haven’t had the time to play around and figure out what to do.

The other day I posted some pictures of the kittens, but try as I may, I just couldn’t get the silly thing to LOOK right when it published.  I guess I worked for at least an hour, if not two trying to get the silly post right.  It looked great, just the way I wanted it, before I told it to publish.  Then when I looked at the actual site, it looked like it does now. :(  I’m not a happy blogger at the moment.

When I get all my work done I may try to go back and fix it.  We’ll see.  At the rate I’m getting work done, that’s probably not going to happen any time real soon.

Have a great week!!  I’ll talk with you later!

Update on the Kitties

I had a friend ask me to put up some new pictures of the kitties and let them see how they’re growing.  So, here are some pictures:

All four babies at 5 weeks old

From left to right:  Sunshine, Honeybunch, Ditto, and Snuggles.  Aren’t they cute? :D
Here's their first real meal of kitten chow

From left to right:  Snuggles, Waysaw (the mama), Sunshine, Honeybunch, and Ditto.  Honeybunch didn’t seem too interested during the first meal, but she made up for it later on. Hehe

They’re five weeks old now, getting into everything, and are a complete mess!  They are into EVERYTHING!  So they’re under foot and it makes it hard, especially when your carpet is dark and the lights are out.  I don’t know how many times one’s almost gotten stepped on!

I’m listening to Cindy Rushton’s “Let’s Get Organized 2008″ while I’m working.  It’s such good information.

Well, I have lots of writing to do, so I’d better get to it.
