We FINALLY got the tomato plants my mother-in-law gave us put into something other than the planters they came in.  We’re hoping that leaving them in the planter that long hasn’t hurt them.  We do know that if we’re able to get any tomatoes off of them, they’ll be a late crop.  I can’t wait.  [...]

What plans do you have?
Most people will cook out for the 4th.  I can already smell the grilling that’s going to be done in a few days.  Steak, corn on the cob, potato salad, homeade ice cream.  I can’t wait.
How about you?  How will you be celebrating?

No, I don’t mean the actual time I get to relax.  I mean all the planning, packing, and buying things that we’ll need FOR vacation.  It’s amazing how you go to the store for a list of 6 items and wind up spending a lot more than you planned.  And we’re not even completely done.  [...]

We’ll be going on vacation soon, and it can’t come soon enough. I’ve been busy with my writing, homeschooling, and trying to keep the boys from fighting with one another, and I need a break. Yeah, I know, I’ll still have to deal with bickering boys, but that’s OK.
