I’m Embarrassed How Long It’s Been

I am so sorry it’s been so long since I’ve written. Life sometimes throws you a curve ball and you just can’t get back into the groove of doing some things no matter how hard you try. I guess that’s what has happened here.

Homeschool for 2008-2009 ended and the kids had a great summer off. They swam some but played a lot of computer games, watched TV, read, and were boys being boys. Due to computer issues, the boys won’t be starting school work until Tuesday. They’re going into 3rd and 6th grades this year. My my how time does fly!!

I’ve been busy with my freelance writing which is a good thing. Unfortunately, I think I’ve been working a little bit too hard and it may have added to the “ick” I got last week. I was sick basically all week and am just now feeling well enough to be up and trying to write.

Hubby’s dad was diagnosed with lung cancer over the summer and has been receiving chemo treatments. I guess he’s doing about as well as can be expected. He’s semi-retired now and got a good report the last time he was at the doctor.

Tomorrow is Labor Day, we’re visiting friends and relax before everyone has to get back in the swing of things. Guess I’d better start thinking about how I’m going to manage everything again.
