It’s been a while

I know I haven’t posted in quite a while, but I’ve been very busy.  With homeschooling my kids and writing, I’ve been spending plenty of time at the computer, but haven’t had a lot of time to write for enjoyment.  I’m sure I’m not the only freelance writer with that problem.

The holidays will soon be here and I have to be completely honest, I don’t like what happens to people the closer it gets to Christmas.  Already people are becoming more rude in the stores in our area.  So much for peace on earth and good will toward men.

I love spending time with my family but we won’t be going to see them this Thanksgiving.  Instead we’ll be going to see my hubby’s family.  It’s usually a good time, but I’ll miss my parents and brothers.  My sister lives off in another part of the country, so I wouldn’t be seeing her during Thanksgiving anyhow.  But I’ll miss my family.

The kids are already saying “I want that” every time a commercial comes on TV with a new toy.  My youngest has already told me he wants 10-15 different things.  And of course, the commercials can’t be for toys that are in the least bit reasonable.  NOOOOO, they have to be THE most expensive toys on the market.  If I bought my son everything he’s told me he wants so far, I’d probably have already spent $300.  It’s terrible how kids get the “gimme’s” the closer to January 1 it gets.

Well, I’ve ranted enough for the moment.  I need to get some work done.
