I hate being sick
September 11, 2008 by Mara Burke · 1 Comment
I guess something I ate last night didn’t set too well on my tummy.
Right before going to bed I got sick and then spent the whole night (on and off, of course) in the bathroom. I didn’t stop throwing up until about 8:30ish this morning. Then I was finally able to get some sleep.
Needless to say, my day is almost shot as I got up about 1:30 p.m. And I have some writing to do that I guess I’d better get to. Guess it’ll be a long afternoon/night until I get finished with what I had planned, no matter how long it takes.
On a different note:
What do you think about the way the Presidential campaigns are turning out, especially with the choices that the candidates made for Vice President. Personally, I never planned to vote Democratic because I don’t agree with their stand on quite a few issues – namely abortion and wanting to tax people to death.
To be honest, I wasn’t sure about John McCain, but would have voted for him because I don’t like Barak Obama. He’s too “polished” and I don’t trust him. I honestly don’t think the American people have been given an opportunity to know the REAL him. There are just too many red flags.
Now that McCain has chosen Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate, I feel a lot better about the Republican chances. I think she is a great addition to the team.
Well, I have writing that’s calling for my attention. Have a great Thursday and be blessed!

Sorry you were sick
I got something in my email regarding Obama vs. Palin (I still find it fascinating that the media have been comparing the R. VICE Presidential candidate to the D. PRESIDENT candidate) that talks about this:
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Theme:
Palin: Change and Clean Government
Obama: Hope and Change; “Bringing Change from Outside Washington”
What they’ve done to live that theme:
Palin: Replaced entire Board of Agriculture and Conservation because of conflict of interest; Resigned from position of Ethics Commissioner of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission in order to expose corruption among members of own party
Obama: Selected 36-year incumbent Senator as running mate
