Busy Day Ahead of Me

I have a full plate of things to do today, how about you?
I have some articles that are due today that I’ve been having problems with. It seems some of the information I need is proprietary and not too easy to find. I guess I have to leave that one until last.
I also need to finish up plans for this school year. I’ve decided that we’re not starting school until next Monday. The oldest will be using Switched on Schoolhouse again this year. I have most of what I’ll be using for the younger one, but need to pull it all together.
We’ve been reading the Bible and have come to realize the wisdom behind the dietary laws that the Father gave to the Israelites in Deuteronomy. We’ve been trying to eat Kosher and I have to tell you, even though we’ve been trying, I found out that there’s pork and pork by-products in A LOT of the foods we’ve been eating. So, after I get finished with the above, I need to learn how to make burritos.
We had been buying the packages of 10 burritos at the store. They have L-Cysteine in them. L-Cysteine is a dough conditioner used in a TON of foods. It is also a flavor enhancer. It is most often made from human hair, duck feathers, pig bristles, and pig hooves. Can you say “yuck”? There are synthetic sources and vegetable sources that can do the same thing, but most places choose to use the forms mentioned above.
When I get finished with my work, I’ll be looking online to find out what bread products don’t have L-Cysteine in it. That may take a while and that’s why I said I have a busy day ahead of me.
How about you? What are you working on today? May you be blessed in all you do.
Did you know that L-cysteine, a common dough conditioner, flavor enhancer in human and pet foods, and precursor in some dietary supplements, is most often derived from human hair or duck feathers, and to a lesser extent from pigs’ bristles and hooves?
