A day in the life of . . .

It’s good to be home!

We went on vacation this week, and while I had a great time, I’m glad to be home!

We went camping with some friends for five days.  Thankfully we have a pop-up camper so I didn’t have to sleep on the ground in a sleeping bag, but it was so good to sleep in my own bed when we got home.

Speaking of getting home, we got home at 3 a.m. this morning, so I’m still wiped out. It may take me a couple of days to get back into the swim of things, but I’ll manage.

The animals were all glad to see us even though we got home in the wee hours of the morning.  Our outside cat, after we fed her and loved on her for a little while, decided to meow at the door for at least an hour.  She was up and at it again after we’d gotten some sleep.  I don’t know if she meowed all night, but I guess she could have.  I was asleep, so I couldn’t tell ya!  Hehe

The kittens figured out how to get out of the box while we were gone.  They’re a month old now.  I’m not sure if they were glad to see us or not.  They didn’t seem so happy to be awakened.  I think they may have enjoyed our vacation because they didn’t have the boys picking them up for five days.

The bird didn’t seem to care one way or another.  She’s made her presence known since we took the cover off her cage this morning.  But then she’s usually pretty vocal.  I think she’s glad we’re home if for no other reason than to bite me when I put my hand in the cage, the little stinker.
