The boys are having a blast!

We bought a 12 ft. x 30 in. pool to cool off in, and the boys are having a blast in it!  Of course, it’s not big enough to actually swim, but that’s ok.  Neither of them know how to swim much anyhow. They can get wet, cool down, and have fun.  That’s all that really matters.

I half-way expect my hubby to hop in the pool for a quick cool off before we head off to visit friends tonight. I’ll really be surprised if he doesn’t.

Speaking of sun and swimming, I saw an interesting report on the news today.  It seems that wearing flip flops could lead to cancer.  Well, not the flip flops themselves, but wearing them in the summer time after your feet haven’t seen the light of day all winter.  It seems most people don’t think about putting sunscreen on their feet, and there is a rise in the numbers of skin cancers on the foot.  Most people don’t think about checking their feet for skin cancer, therefore they aren’t caught until it’s too late. So, if you’re going to wear flip flops or other sandals, please think about putting sunscreen on your feet to help prevent the possibility of getting skin cancer on your feet.
