It was so cute, you should have seen it

My hubby took the boys fishing last night after he got home from work. It’s their first trip this year, and they had a blast! It
also gave me some “alone” time which I promptly filled up with writing. Oh, I did watch a little bit of TV, too. But, mostly I wrote.
Anyhow, right before they came home, hubby calls to tell me they’re on their way. He lets the youngest get on the phone and he was so pumped. After telling me how he caught the first fish, and what other fish he caught, he told me about the one he caught “all by myself, no one helped me!” He even baited the hook by himself, sticking the poor minnow on upside down. Apparently it worked, he caught a good sized rock bass, the only one that was caught.
When they got home, he had to tell me again about the fish he caught. Then they started pulling fish out of the bucket. I’m not sure how many were in there, in total, but I was glad *I* wasn’t going to have to clean them! YUCK!!
So, I took the requisite photos with him all grins, dirt, and stinky fish smells. Thankfully there’s not scratch-and-sniff for photos. It would NOT be nice.
He was so excited, so animated, it was something to see. Unfortunately, I think I heard the story about the fish he caught at least 12 times before he went to bed. I’ll bet I hear it a few more times today, too.
Be blessed and have a great day! Hey, why not take your kiddos out fishing? You’ll probably have fun watching them. Oh, and make sure you let them do all the work. ![]()
