A day in the life of . . .
Don’t you just love it?

I was up late last night, er . . . this morning, and guess I got to bed about 1:30 or so. Partly because of work (got finished about midnight), but also because I bought a computer game. Gasp! You mean you do something besides work on there?! You betcha!
I don’t play computer games very often because I could be working and earning money. However, as a Work-at-Home-Mom, sometimes I just need to chill out and NOT push myself so hard. Besides, I was finished for the week, had just sent off invoices, and was ready to relax a little so I could settle down and GET to sleep.
So, I bought this game called “Azada,” which supposedly means “freedom.” At least that’s what the games says. I have no idea if that’s true, I haven’t “snoped” it to verify. Ha! Anyhow, you have to complete puzzles of various types and find hidden things to maneuver through the game. I really like it so far – guess I must if I spent 1 1/2 hours playing until the wee hours of the morning.
The whole reason I’m telling you all this is because I was all snuggled down in the bed, sound asleep, when all of the sudden C-R-A-S-H! I woke up immediately, sat bolt up right in the bed, and asked “What was that?!” My hubby, who could probably sleep through a comet falling in our backyard, didn’t stir in the least.
We have cats, live in a trailer, and that trailer is in the middle of a field. It’s winter, get the picture? Apparently one of the cats jumped up on the cabinets because they heard the scurry of little animals (yeah, I know, I hate them, too.) If you live in a trailer in the middle of winter, you’re going to get mice, no matter how much you don’t want them. Luckily I have a good mouser. I just wish she wasn’t so clumsy!
So, here it is, about 6:30 when I first started this, and I can’t get back to sleep. My hubby, on the other hand, decided to get up. Well, sort of. He sat down on the recliner and he’s over there snoring. Go figure! Why’d he bother staying up if he was just going to go back to sleep?
Well, at least it’s quiet in the house. I can pour my heart out to my online friends and then get some work done for Monday. Might as well be productive since I’m awake anyhow. You know, get a jump start on next week’s assignments and finish up something I DIDN’T get done that I was supposed to.
What are your plans for the weekend? Anything fun going on? After the hubby and kiddos get up (no idea when THAT’ll be!), we’re headed up to visit our friends in Scottsboro. We generally see them on Friday nights, but our normal Saturday afternoon meetings have been canceled for a while.
Have a great one and make sure you have some fun. You know what they say, all work and no play makes Johnny a dull boy. Well, it works for mama’s, too!
Be blessed!
