I’ve decided weekends aren’t all they’re cracked up to be

Everyone talks about how great weekends are. Some people even say they “live for the weekends.” I think people should try following me around on weekends. They’re crazy. In fact, it sometimes seems like my weekend is worse than my weekdays.
I’m having some problems with my oldest son. He doesn’t want to do the homeschool work that he’s given. He wants to take the shortcut at everything instead of trying to do well. My husband and I are stumped, we really don’t know what to do. If you have advice, we’d sure love to hear it.
We tried to impress upon both boys that they really needed to learn how to write and spell well, that almost EVERY job they might ever get would require them to write, and write well.
Well, I have a lot to do tomorrow. Much work to do and then a meeting tomorrow night. It seems I’m getting busier and busier. I need a vacation! lol

Yeah I know what you mean about weekends. Generally it’s my fault that they aren’t all ther’ye cracked up to be but still I don’t enjoy them like I used to when I worked outside my home.
Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your oldest. I don’t homeschool so can’t offer any advice there.
As for all the work – congratulations on being so busy. Glad to hear that.
