There’s another thing . . .

That I hate about Christmas. We just got back from Wal*Mart, not one of my favorite places to be on a Friday when it’s NOT around Christmas. But, we had a few more things to get on our list and a few groceries. I figured, “Why not kill two birds with one stone and get all my shopping done at once?” Wrong thing to do!

The place was packed out, almost as bad as the day after Thanksgiving or the day after Christmas for all the returns. It was just crazy. Remind me NOT to go back there for ANYTHING until about the second week in January.

I was complaining to one of my friends on my cell phone about how much I hate spending money I don’t really have to spare, on gifts for people that aren’t my favorite in the world, on things they either don’t want or don’t need. My youngest son pipes up, “Mom’s starting to sound like the Grinch or Scrooge.” Maybe I am, I don’t know. What I DO know is that I’ll be glad when next Wednesday comes and MAYBE life will return to normal. Ha! I doubt it.
