A day in the life of . . .

We’re home!

Got back home about 8p.m. tonight. Boy is it good to be able to kick back and relax at my own desk.

I love my parents and I enjoy spending time with them, but I always end up crying as we leave or at least some time during the trip. I guess I’m just starting to realize, living so far away from them, that if something happened, I might not make it up there in time to say goodbye.

My dad is 71, my mom is 67. They’re not spring chickens anymore. And they have their share of health issues. I just pray that I’m able to say everything I need to say before that time comes.

Sorry, didn’t mean to get morbid on ya. I guess after my mom’s health scare in September, I can’t help feeling like I’m too far away.
