Love the visit, hate the drive

We’re going up to visit my parents for Thanksgiving. We love the visit, hate the drive. 5 1/2 hours, and half way through – Nashville. Ugh! It seems they’re ALWAYS doing some kind of road construction, so that makes the trip even more of a pain in the posterior.
Of course, seeing that we’re leaving tonight instead of tomorrow, the traffic will be even worse. Don’t you just LOVE holiday traffic? NOT! Well, at least we shouldn’t be hittingĀ rush-hour traffic, but I still hate the drive.
Can’t wait for tomorrow. I hope Mom makes her candied sweet potatoes – no one makes them like she does! And she usually has a green jello salad with pineapple and cream cheese. YUMOLA! Of course, she’ll have a big, ol’ honkin’ turkey, mashed potatoes, and maybe we’ll even be lucky enough that Dad will make bread. Gee, I think I’ve gained 10 pounds just thinking about it. LOL
Hope your trip to wherever you’re going is pleasant and uneventful. Be blessed!

Have a happy Thanksgiving Mara and a very safe trip!
Thanks, Tishia. I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving, too. Be blessed!
