It’s not as bad as I thought
Apparently, there were some items on the main board that got burned out. I can’t help wondering if the problems don’t stem from all the power surges/mini outages that we’ve been experiencing. There were actually 5 of the surges in 1/2 hour yesterday. Talk about frustrating. Anyhow, back to the story at hand . . .
The cost to fix the TV is $110. While that’s not a great amount, it’s MUCH better than what I was thinking it was going to cost. And it’s MUCH cheaper than having to buy a whole new set! (Original price on the TV was $899, but we got $200 off because it was a floor model. That still means the cost to replace it would have been at least $699.) I think we can afford $110 a lot easier than $699!!
We were given the option of picking up the TV late tonight or tomorrow, but since we’re not going to be watching much TV during the holiday, there’s no sense in picking it up. Of course, the kiddos want us to go get it now, but maybe we can get someone to help us get it back in the house. I sure hope so, because I don’t want my sweetie to have to get it back in here all by himself.
I got finished with one of the writing assignments I had. Thankfully those are done. Now it’s on to writing a couple of special reports. I have to tell you, though, one of them is going to be a stretch. I’m going to have to do some research on the topic in order to write the report because I don’t agree with the premise they’re wanting covered. But, I’ll give it my best shot, and hopefully the client will be pleased.
Day after tomorrow is Thanksgiving, so if I fail to tell you Thursday, I’ll tell you now, “HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!” May you, your family, and your loved ones be blessed!
