Just added to a blog near you

I’ve been tinkering with the look of my blog, thanks to my friend Lace. She also helped me add the “BlogRush” widget to my blog. Thanks, Lace, I appreciate all the help.
The concept behind BlogRush is that you can get more attention to your blog if you help draw attention to other people’s blogs. At least, that’s what I gather from John Reese’s description of the program. The widget on the page lists links to other blogs that are similar to your own. You’ll help your reader possibly find other blogs and articles of interest, and since you’re adding new content in the form of posting, your entries should be showing up on other people’s blogs. In effect, you’re advertising, but it doesn’t cost you anything. I figure, if it does what it says, I might as well give it a try.
In other news for the day, I’m glad it’s starting to change to more seasonal weather. I’m so tired of being hot and miserable. There’s a nip in the air in the morning to go along with the shorter days. Now, if they’d just quit messing with daylight savings time, I think I’d be happy. I’m so used to already having the change in place, but it’s still a couple of weeks out. Am I the only one who thinks it hasn’t benefited anyone to make the change to daylight savings? Why don’t they just do away with it and get it over with. Subtract a half-hour from the beginning of the day, add a half-hour to the end, and call it even. Politicians may think they’re helping, but I disagree. Then again, they didn’t ask me.
