A day in the life of . . .
What is it about employers?

My husband called me in a panic this morning. Where he works, they’re notorious for trying to put more on their employees than is physically possible. Today was one of those days for my hubby. He asked for prayer and then told me ALL that they were expecting out of him today. There is honestly NO WAY one person can do all that they expected. I don’t know why employers expect their employees to be superhuman, especially when they themselves aren’t.
My husband works in a plant, which doesn’t have air conditioning, so he’s been subjected to the extremes in weather. He comes home so tired and worn out. I can understand his frustration with that, but to have all the other on top of that, I don’t doubt he’d be ready to quit. And that’s exactly what he said he wanted to do. Thankfully, he didn’t. I just don’t know how we’d be able to manage if he did. Oh, I’m sure God would provide, somehow, but I don’t relish the thought of going another 12-18 months without him working, again.
When I called him a little bit ago, he sounded a little less panicked. He also said that some of the work they were expecting him to do, they didn’t have the supplies for him to work with. So, I guess he panicked for nothing. Either that, or all those prayers I requested and said did the trick. I prefer to think that’s the answer.
