A day in the life of . . .
Well, we had a “quiet” anniversary

Today marks 21 years of marriage for my husband and I. While I’m sure it’s not a HUGE milestone compared to some, for today’s day and age, it is quite good.
We were married at the college that we attended. I was a senior and he was a freshman. Mom had told me to get one young and raise him right. I should have known then that I’d have some problems parenting. Actually, I can’t fault myself too much, his parents did most of his raising. lol
It’s amazing how quickly 21 years have passed by. There were time that they seemed to just drag by – especially when we were waiting for children – mostly they’ve flown by. No big fan fare, no big party, but that’s fine. We had a quiet evening of fellowship with the
choir at our church, which we don’t often get to do. So, all in all, it wasn’t a bad evening, just not a celebratory evening. But, we did get to have dinner just the two of us last Friday, so I really wasn’t expecting much.
I hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend. Don’t eat too much, and go make a memory. God bless!

Congratulations Mara! I think 21 years is a huge deal, especially in this day and age. I hope I can say I celebrated my 21 year anniversary some day!
WOW – happy anniversary!! Sounds like you all celebrated it quite nicely!
Thank you very much for the well wishes, Kristine and Aurelia. I feel blessed to be married to my sweetie, even though there are times I’ve wondered why on earth I married him. LOL He’s a great husband and father, and I can’t imagine what my life would be without him.
