I got a pleasant surprise!

Wow, this doesn’t happen that often. My mother-in-law came by the house this afternoon and the kids asked if they could go spend the night. I told them it was up to her. She said “Ok,” so my sweetie and I will have a Friday night without the kids. I don’t know how long it’s been since that has happened. Let’s see, the oldest is 10, so about 10 years, I guess. lol
Our 21st anniversary is next Thursday, and I’ve been kind of grumpy since we have to be at an event at church. Well, this little surprise means we can actually have our anniversary a week early, and without having to pay for a babysitter! Don’t you know I’m doing a happy dance?!
My sweetie was thinking about going to O’Charley’s but I just found out our coupon expired. I guess that means we’ll have to think of someplace a little less expensive. Luckily there are some nice places around. Hmm, what do I want to have for dinner. I’m going to have to give that some thought.
Well, I’m going to go make myself presentable. Don’t forget to hug your family and tell them that you love them. And, oh yeah, go make a memory this weekend.
*Update* We ended up going to a restaurant called “The Olive Pit.” It’s an Italian/Mediteranean style place. There was live music, but nothing like you’d expect. The food was awesome. I had Chicken Marsala. Hubby had Mediteranean Tilapia. Yum yum it was good!

Happy 21st anniversary! We just celebrated our 21st anniversary in July.
Thank you very much.
Our anniversary isn’t actually until Thursday, but I do appreciate the well wishes.
